New York Photographer Jon Shireman just blew my mind with his new series, “Broken Flowers.” Shireman soaked a variety of flowers in liquid nitrogen (which causes rapid freezing) before catapulting them into a white surface via a spring loaded device developed especially for the occasion. As the fragile petals shattered like porcelain, Shireman photographed the debris. Stunning.
